Fletcher Still Believes

Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher has hit back at the media and some football experts who have already started to write off Manchester United’s chances of retaining the English Premier League and said that The Red Devils have come back from worse positions many times before and they have the fire power in their side to do to it again.

He has also slammed the critics who said that United’s departure from the UEFA Champions League was due to the lack of a creative midfielder and said that the club has plenty of brilliant players and once they hit their stride, the side will be unstoppable, much like in the earlier part of the season when the team came out with all guns blazing. Darren Fletcher further stated that just because Manchester United were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League, it does not necessarily mean that Sir Alex Ferguson will have to spend money in the winter transfer window to get a suitable replacement for the retired Paul Scholes and believes that the solution lies within the club and that there is no reason to buy.

Manchester United have been linked with plenty of creative midfield players over the last couple of transfer windows but Fletcher believes that the replacement for Paul Scholes will never be found and the only answer lies in the United Academy that has plenty of extremely talented players who could become world class players one day. The likes of Paul Pogba, Ravel Morrison, Ryan Tunnicliffe, Will Keane all have it in them to become world beaters in a couple of years time and so, United don’t need for any panic buys in the transfer market. Darren Fletcher has also ascertained that United are still the team to beat and with December approaching, writing them off would be a big mistake.
